Engineering applications are typically complex, so students also need to acquire proficiency in analytical problem solving and the ability to apply a systems engineering approach, as a systematic methodology to design and implementation. The basic characteristics of some of the commonly used antennas, and antenna systems, will be examined in the context of practical design and application.
