The MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine is a full-time one-year multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programme examining major challenges to the health of populations in resource-limited contexts.   • Covering evidence-based practice in both medical and community settings, as well as the role of Nursing within research, policy discussions, patient advocacy and management.
  • The MSc programme in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health is based at the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health , an International Olympic Committee Injury Prevention Research Centre and one of world’s leading institutes for sports and exercise medicine.
  • This year we hope to cover topics that include Monkeypox, Lassa Fever, Myocarditis and many others.

Assessment is through written examination, presentations, coursework and Objective Structured Clinical Examination , as well as the dissertation and viva voce examination. We’re the largest provider of health, social care and education courses in the East of England and are proud to train the doctors in Essex’s first School of Medicine. Learn in facilities which mirror real-life clinical situations, and graduate with the skills to impact people’s lives. There are no compulsory elements of this course that entail additional costs beyond fees and living costs. However, as part of your course requirements, you may need to choose a dissertation, a project or a thesis topic. Please note that, depending on your choice of topic and the research required to complete it, you may incur additional expenses, such as travel expenses, research expenses, and field trips.

I am delighted to introduce you to the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. The College is comprised of three departments that cover life sciences, clinical and health-related subjects across a number of disciplines. We teach and train 4000 students and have around 300 academic and professional and support staff in the College.
