Filing Your Application

The UZH Card and proof-of-matriculation vouchers will be sent to you separately by regular mail. If you have any questions about your application or need support, please contact Student Administration Office or Admissions Office. A thesis proposal should be submitted that describes your research project.

You can only apply for medical studies starting in the Fall Semester. Please note the restrictions on admission and the registration deadline at swissuniversities for the Bachelor’s degree program. If you’re applying for the Bachelor’s degree program in medicine, you can simultaneously apply online for an alternative Bachelor’s degree program. In this case you must also pay the admission fee for the alternative degree program.

  • Priority is given to academic achievement, recommendations and motivation letter.
  • Please remember to read carefully and complete all required pieces of the application.
  • Make sure you’ll be reachable at the specified e-mail address during the entire admissions process, and keep a safe record of the username you have been sent.
  • If you don’t receive an e-mail, please check your spam folder.
  • The bill for the semester fees will be then canceled afterwards.

All students work toward receiving an American high school diploma while many also pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We encourage families to visit the School or meet with a TASIS representative during one of ouroff-campus visits. The School awards financial aid on the basis of need and merit. TASIS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges and the European Council of International Schools.

International Trade And Development

Find out about the UZH degree programs offered and the admission requirements. Please choose your degree program and study programs before you start to fill out the online application form. You will receive an email asking you to do this by your programme’s administrative office. Once payment has been completed, your application will be processed by the administrative office responsible for your degree programme. If any details/documents are missing or if any documents are rejected (illegible, etc.), you will receive another email.


After you have sent your application, wait for five or ten minutes before checking. You may need to log out and then log in again, so that your data can be updated. If the payment for the application fee did not go through, please try again. Your application will only be processed once your payment has gone through.

Below you will find the legal basis for application and admission to the University of Lucerne. Messages and documents from UZH relating to your application and admission will be posted on the application portal for you to download. You can apply via the online form as soon as the application period for the desired degree program has begun. Knowledge of French is not required to enrol in our programmes but the Institute offers intensive French language courses to encourage bilingualism among its students. Speaking French is also an advantage when living in Geneva, as it is a multilingual environment. Please note that you will be eligible to apply during the last year of your current study programme, provided you obtain your final degree by September 2022.

Tips On Filling Out The Form And Uploading Documents

Upon receipt of the application form, the University verifies compliance with the admission requirements. Admission requirements are specified in the respective pages of each program. Matriculation becomes legally valid after payment of the semester fees has been received.

After matriculation, you must request withdrawal from university via contact form at the Student Administration Office. If you have already paid the semester fees for the first semester and would like to be reimbursed , please return your UZH Card and the four proof-of-matriculation vouchers by 15 March or 15 October and provide us with your bank details. The Student Administration Office will then initiate the reimbursement of the fees.
